Commitment towards a living thing to keep my
growing maternal instinct under control.
And a companion to give unconditional love.
Maybe I have been watching too many dog movies and reading too many dog books lately.
I wish Mochi had been allowed to stay, and allowed the chance to prove her worth which will be so much more than the hassles.
Dogs are a bundle of joy!
my first picture with mochi
MeiMei looking as silly as usual
Anyway, the 2 little terrors who darted around at home were completely changed dogs once they stepped out of the house.
To be precise, those paws of Meimei's never did once touch the ground, and it took us a close 15 min to even carry Mochi beyond the gate.
She wriggled and shook herself out of the leash, ran back into the house to hide under the bed, and clenched her nails into Eu's daddy's shoulders just to make sure she stays put in the house.
Like we were bringing her to the butcher.
We think she's got a screw loose somewhere.
Anway, the two bitches still do not get along well. Sibling rivalry, as we call it. So it's a rare scene that they did not growl at each other in the car. Maybe they unite when they sense what seems like danger to them.
Mochi threw up soon after this picture.
Maybe the ride was too long and bumpy for the pup.
Despite their agression towards each other, they do have many things in common. Both refused to budge once they were on the ground and our arms were really tired from carrying them. We looked at all the other doggies scurrying past us in excitement, and wondered just what had went wrong with our two.
We felt really silly being the only ones with the doggies in our arms.
The big embarrassment came when Mochi finally managed a bit of walking, and there came a little girl who tried to play with her. Only to see Mochi jerk backwards and retreated far far away.
The 2nd time the girl tried to get closer…Mochi shunned again.
The parents went “oohhh….doggie scared of you larh” And the owners went red with embarrassment.
Thereafter, she glued her ass on the groud right before this female novice roller blader, who could only attempt to stand still and wait for Mochi to leave.
After many tugs and persuasion, I had to scoop Mochi up and apologize.
We confirmed she's got a screw loose.
Outings with the dogs always ended with the owners succumbing to our tired arms and resting at a fast food restaurant. We are also so sure the doggies will enjoy sitting down eating beef patties more than anything else.
On our way home, the doggies slept soundly like they were the ones with the tired legs and arms.
Anyway, it was really enjoyable spending time with the doggies, and I think my arms will get more muscular if we all keep up with this.
We will be training Mochi on how to behave more normally outdoors, since she may weigh an 8-10kg now, and there is no way we can carry her as she grows.
And we will continue carrying Meimei since she is much lighter, and too old and odd to change.
